May 2009 Debut of the Month.

Funny, sophisticated, witty and thoroughly enjoyable! Kerry Reichs certainly inherited the writing gene from her mother Kathy and we think you will find her debut novel impossible to put down. Unlucky in love, Vi finds herself facing the daunting task of attending 11 weddings in 18 months and that’s enough for anyone, let alone someone who feels her ‘best day’ may never come. A real treat of a book..

Synopsis

The Best Day of Someone Else's Life by Kerry Reichs

Vi Connelly got the wedding bug at just six years of age. The thrill, the attention, the big white dress - it's the Best Day of Your Life, and it's seriously addictive! Unless, of course, it's always the best day of someone else's life. Now in her late twenties, Vi finds herself a bridesmaid time and again. She's honoured to perform her wedding duties, but watching everyone else's big day begins to make Vi wonder about her own.

After years of dating, Vi's got an arsenal of funny stories to tell her friends, but deep down, her heart's still stuck on her ex - the gorgeous, eternally unobtainable Caleb. Then she meets someone new, someone who could turn out to be more than just another dating war-story. But just as love finally seems to be within reach, matters take an unexpected turn. To top things off, Vi is about to embark on the mother of all wedding seasons - her mission, should she choose to accept it, is to attend eleven weddings in eighteen months, and survive with her sanity, and her relationships, intact.

About the Author

Kerry Reichs

Kerry Reichs was a lawyer and lobbyist in Washington, DC for seven years before following her heart to her true calling, writing. After taking a sabbatical to move to Los Angeles to write a book, she discovered sabbaticals agree with her and now writes full time. Her first book, The Best Day of Someone Else’s Life, is an irreverently comic yet thoughtful look women’s manic pursuit of one perfect wedding day, from the point of view of a serial bridesmaid who wonders if an alternate choice might be right for her. Fourteen times a bridesmaid and never married, Kerry knows her topic well. For more about Kerry and her upcoming release, The Good Luck Girl, visit her author page at www.kerryreichs.com.
