The Complete Aubrey/Maturin Novels by Patrick O'Brian

Patrick O'Brian's twenty-one-volume Aubrey/Maturin series of nautical adventures set during the Napoleonic War has delighted generations of devoted fans, inspired a blockbuster film, and sold millions of copies in twenty-four languages.

'Patrick O'Brian is one of the most compelling and brilliant novelists of his time with a huge and dedicated band of admirers in all manner of places. Beyond his superbly elegant writing, wit and originality, he showed an understanding of the nature of a floating world at the mercy of the wind and the sea which has never been surpassed'
Max Hastings

Sunday Telegraph

'The best historical novels ever written'
New York Times Book Review
