Shortlisted for the Costa Children's Book Award 2015.

Chosen as one of the Top Ten Best New Books for Children 2015 by Andrea Reece. Francis is a bit of an outsider and doesn’t really have friends. But he finds it really easy to talk to Jessica. They’ve got lots in common and are firm friends within hours of meeting. It doesn’t really matter to either that Jessica’s a ghost. Funny, clever, beautifully written this wonderful book shows how quickly life can change so that it can appear impossible one moment, be full of hope and possibilities the next. Everyone should read it! ~ Andrea Reece

Costa Judges' comment: “Funny, clever, beautifully written – it perfectly describes the transforming power of friendship.”
