One of this lovely author’s best books, originally published in 2007. If you’ve missed it you must catch up. Helen is the Judge’s daughter, a sad, neglected child who becomes more so once her mean-spirited widowed father remarries. Agnes is the wife of one of the Judge’s employees. We follow both women through many twists and turns and numerous plot lines. This really is an incident-full tale with characters you truly get to know and care for while your emotions are rung. She is a very fine author in this area. Highly recommended. ~ Sarah Broadhurst

Synopsis
