Friendship by Emily Gould

Lovereading view...

A very American tale of two girls, their friendship, their ups and downs and their relationship with a couple for whom they house sit. It covers childlessness, infidelity, envy and such with lots of texting, chat and emails so portraying a modern world of shallow commitments where friendship overrides everything else. Not her best.

Amy is a fiercely charismatic media darling still riding the tailwinds of early success, but reality is catching up with her. And now Bev is unexpectedly pregnant. As the two friends are dragged into genuine adulthood, they are forced to contemplate the possibility that growing up might mean growing apart.
