Happiness Is Easy by Edney Silvestre

Lovereading view...

A small package, but one containing a forceful wallop of an impact. The short sharp chapters flit around in time; enabling you to catch up, tripping you so you fall behind again, teasing out the various stories that make up this tale. With fascinating characters and a dramatically colourful Brazil, this is a vividly punchy read, it almost feels at times as though you're watching a film with the scenes played out in front of you. The ending is not neat, certain threads are left deliberately and thought provokingly unexplored, which actually helps to make this a refreshingly satisfying and compelling little book.~ Liz Robinson

And what better leverage can there be but the kidnapping of his only son. Except that the child on his way home from school in Olavo's armour-plated car, deep into his colouring book as the gang closes in ...He's not Olavo's son.
