Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Obsessed with internet sex, a self-imposed prisoner, Jessica, has a fear of human contact for she fantasises about hurting, even killing, people. She does not trust herself; she has reason not to! Everything she needs is obtainable online and when delivered, just left on her doorstep. An intriguing character, she does indeed intrigue the delivery boy. Then a child goes missing and Jessica is sure one of her ‘clients’ has captured her. Several things now happen at the same time and the tension in this fast-paced, very sexy thriller is ratcheted up. It is an unusual premise and Jessica a great character. An impressive novel, highly recommended.

If you like A. R. Torre you might also like to read books by Gillian Flynn, E L James and Chris Cleave.

The Girl in 6E by A. R. Torre

Deanna Madden, aka Jessica Reilly, hasn't touched another person in three years. She hasn't left her apartment. She makes money from performing to webcams on a sex site, where her clients pay $6.99 a minute for her time. She's doing alright. The dollars are piling up in the bank. She's the number 3 model on And she hasn't killed anyone for years. But when Deanna sees on the news that a little girl called Annie has gone missing, the story rattles her carefully ordered world. It's uncomfortably similar to the dark fantasy of one of her most disturbing online clients. She's convinced he's responsible for the girl's abduction - but no one will listen to her. So, after three years, Deanna finally leaves the apartment. And this is what happens...

'A.R. Torre's The Girl in 6E lifts the veil on the dark, erotic world of camming, but the book contains so many more surprises than that. At the novel's core, a tender heart beats, and the increasingly suspenseful pages fly by as its deepest secrets are revealed. This is a taut, edgy, thrill ride, powerfully gripping and impossible to turn away from.' David Bell, author of Never Come Back and Cemetery Girl
