Unlucky 13 (Women's Murder Club 13) by James Patterson

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

The Women’s Murder Club series of which this is one vies with Alex Cross as the best books Patterson puts out. This one knocks spots off the last few Cross’. It has a very clear main story along with several subplots which feel very real and keep you guessing fairly well until the end. It is probably good to have some back knowledge of the characters for then you just immerse yourself in the book and feel at home but if you haven’t then it doesn’t really matter. Easy to read, fast and furious, this is terrific.

If you like James Patterson you might also like to read books by Michael Connelly, Lisa Gardner and Jeffery Deaver.

Synopsis

Unlucky 13 (Women's Murder Club 13) by James Patterson

When two dead bodies are found inside a wrecked car on the Golden Gate Bridge, Detective Lindsay Boxer doubts that it will be anything as simple as a traffic accident. The scene is more gruesome than anything she has seen before. It definitely wasn't the crash that killed these people. While Lindsay starts to piece this case together, she gets a call she wasn't expecting. Sightings of her ex-colleague-turned-ruthless-killer Mackie Morales have been reported. Wanted for three murders, Mackie has been in hiding since she escaped from custody. But now she's ready to return to San Francisco and pay a visit to some old friends.
