Kelly Holmes

Kelly Holmes was born in 1970. She made history at the Athens Olympics by winning both the 1500m and 800m gold medals, an achievement for which she was named Sports Personality of the Year. In the New Year's Honours List of 31 December 2004 she was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
