Bones Never Lie (Temperance Brennan 17) by Kathy Reichs

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Dr Temperance Brennan is at it again – bones, bones and more bones. This is another involved, gripping tale of murder and mayhem featuring copycat killings … or are they? It also features Tempe’s mother, an old woman in a nursing home with a wandering mind, terminal cancer and a way with computers! She’s a delight. The tale involves dead children. It is really gripping with misleading factors springing up everywhere, it’s thrilling stuff. One of her best.

If you like Kathy Reichs you might also like to read books by Anthony Horowitz, Mo Hayder and Will Hill.

Who is Sarah Broadhurst

The Good Book Guide logo The Good Book Guide Review. One case has haunted Temp-erance Brennan for ten years: a murderous perpetrator whom she was unable to pin down. And this killer of young women has now returned, fuelled by fear and rage. He has new victims in his sights – and this time one of them is Tempe herself. One doesn’t envy Kathy Reichs, obliged to keep each new novel as forceful and dramatic as the one before, but this latest is proof positive that the author still knows how to cannily ring the changes on the theme of her earlier work. Bones Never Lie is every bit as unsettling as Bare Bones or Grave Secrets, but the path Reichs takes to raise our pulse rate is somewhat different. Dr Temperance Brennan is on hand, as dogged and persevering as ever, and the plot is handled with the assurance that we have come to expect from Reichs.

She's the real deal. -- David Baldacci Kathy Reichs continues to be one of the most distinctive and talented writers in the genre. Her legion of readers worldwide will agree with me when I declare that the more books she writes, the more enthusiastic fans she'll garner. -- Sandra Brown Each book in Kathy Reichs's fantastic Temperance Brennan series is better than the last. They're filled with riveting twists and turns - and no matter how many books she writes, I just can't get enough! -- Lisa Scottoline

Fellow novelist KERRY REICHS on KATHY REICHS

When speaking of writers that have most influenced me, it’s safe to begin at the beginning. My mother Kathy Reichs has written eleven London Times best selling books and fostered the television drama Bones. I am incredibly proud of her talents, and her pride in mine has sweetened my success. My defection from Lawyer Camp (my father and brother are lawyers) to Writer Camp was heralded with joyous open arms by my mother, and the best part is enjoying it together. We don’t agree on everything, and we write about vastly different subject materials. But some day I may just cave in to her pestering that I “put a dead body” in one of my books so we can write something together! If you haven’t already, try her latest book, Devil Bones.
