This is the gripping new Temperance Brennan novel from the world-class forensic anthropologist and Number 1 bestselling author Kathy Reichs. Tempe is faced with the horrifying possibility that the killer who got away in Monday Mourning is back...For a decade, Temperance Brennan has been haunted by the one who got away. The killer of young women. The monster. And the one who has now come back. Feeding on fear, grief and rage. Killing again. Killing girls. Getting closer. Coming for Tempe.

One case has haunted Temp-erance Brennan for ten years: a murderous perpetrator whom she was unable to pin down. And this killer of young women has now returned, fuelled by fear and rage. He has new victims in his sights – and this time one of them is Tempe herself. One doesn’t envy Kathy Reichs, obliged to keep each new novel as forceful and dramatic as the one before, but this latest is proof positive that the author still knows how to cannily ring the changes on the theme of her earlier work. Bones Never Lie is every bit as unsettling as Bare Bones or Grave Secrets, but the path Reichs takes to raise our pulse rate is somewhat different. Dr Temperance Brennan is on hand, as dogged and persevering as ever, and the plot is handled with the assurance that we have come to expect from Reichs.
