Synopsis

Winds of Honour by Ashleigh Bingham

The Honourable Phoebe Pemberton is blessed with beauty, wit and wealth, but she has one disadvantage that annuls it all: Phoebe is the daughter of the late, disgraceful Lord Pemberton and Harriet Buckley. For years society has shunned the whole Pemberton family.

Early in childhood, Phoebe learns to escape her motherâs iron-fisted determination to teach her the family business of wringing profits from the mills. She dreams of running away, and, when she learns of her motherâs plans to offer her hand in marriage as part of a business transaction, she calls on her friend Toby Grantham for help.

But Harrietâs vengeful fury is aroused, leaving Phoebe tangled in an unexpectedly dark and desperate venture.

About the Author

Ashleigh Bingham lives in Queensland. After a career in family therapy she now writes full-time. A love of history and travel has taken her on journeys that provide the exotic settings of her novels. She was awarded the Ruby Award 2004 for Palace of the Winds.

I love reading because my cares & woes vanish for an hour or two whilst I read of the joys, adventures, lives of the characters in the book.

Jennifer Moville

A well laid out site, I love the fact that is separates paranormal fiction from fantasy and horror, which other sites don't.
