Sarah Broadhurst's view...

They may well have been angels but they went to hell for this is the story of two girls and a boy during World War I. The boy, Eddie, in the army, the girls nurses on the front. Most of the book is about their horrendous experiences dealing with death on a daily basis. It is not a read for the squeamish. They do find love, but at quite a cost. Despite the subject matter this is a really good read, very well written.

If you like Lyn Andrews you might also like to read books by Maggie Ford, Katie Flynn and Annie Groves.
