A Little Love by Amanda Prowse

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

At its heart this is a tale of love conquers all. Cousins Pru and Milly from a shabby East End background have “arrived”, through determination and hard work, in London society. They have brought up their beautiful niece who is engaged to a well-heeled soldier. At the engagement party one of our cousins, Pru, meets prominent politician and love blossoms. Tragedy, deceit and duty come bounding in and Pru has some secrets to confess to her new love but all does not go according to plan. I am a big fan of this author. She creates characters who stay with you, situations that compel you forward and a world to lose yourself in. This is part of a series the author is calling “No Greater Love”. They are all lovely.

If you like Amanda Prowse you might also like to read books by Jodi Picoult, Tom Vowler and Maeve Binchy.
