A Darker Shade 17 Swedish Stories of Murder, Mystery and Suspense Including a Short Story by Stieg Larsson by John-Henri Holmberg

A Darker Shade 17 Swedish Stories of Murder, Mystery and Suspense Including a Short Story by Stieg Larsson

Thriller / Suspense   Crime / Mystery

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

Seventeen Swedish stories of murder, mystery and suspense with some very big names amongst them: Henning Mankell, Hakan Nesser, Åsa Larsson, and the biggest of them all, Stieg Larsson. His story, Brain Power, was written when he was 18 and is more science fiction than mystery. It tells of scientific work on brain transplants and has a Roald Dahl-esque twist. Creepy and scary, the writing style of an adolescent is obviously less polished than his great trilogy but nonetheless is very impressive.
