Sue Baker's view...

An introspective and dark look at Africa, a third African journey for Theroux and a sad one, at 70, Theroux sees this as his last view of the continent. There has been little progress, corruption; war and poverty still hold sway. This is Africa but not as the tourist sees it, a behind-the-scenes journey as only Paul Theroux can make.
