Dear Thing by Julie Cohen

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

A novel of surrogate motherhood and all the complicated emotions it can evoke especially when the carrying mum is in love with the father. It is very realistic, the characters well portrayed and although a well-used theme, it does feel fresh and is certainly thought provoking. There are a nice couple of twists and a lightness of touch despite its serious subject matter. Highly recommended.
