Robert Ludlum's The Janson Option by Robert Ludlum

Robert Ludlum's The Janson Option

Action Adventure / Spy   eBook Favourites

Sarah Broadhurst's view...

An action-packed tale involving Somali pirates, the mafia, oil, bombs, new gimmicks to baffle even Bond’s Q, and lots of fun. Paul Janson is a disenchanted US agent now out for hire but in good gung-ho style he’s got to be convinced he’s on the ‘right’ side! He’s got to work out who is doing what to whom which is slightly confusing but the action is direct and the pace is aided by the novelty of some of the weapons.

If you like Robert Ludlum you might also like to read books by Vince Flynn, Daniel Silva and Jack Higgins.

Who is Sarah Broadhurst

The Good Book Guide logo The Good Book Guide Review. Paul Garrison proves to be one of the most talented writers in the Ludlum series, channelling the narrative gifts of Ludlum into a tale of derring-do that has all the vigour of the original books. Paul Janson has an interesting job: rehabilitating jaded intelligence agents and aiding them in creating new lives outside the intelligence sector. But an assignment for an oil executive – rescuing the latter’s wife from Somali pirates – proves to be his most dangerous undertaking.

Robert Ludlum's The Janson Option by Robert Ludlum

Working in partnership with champion sharpshooter Jessica Kincaid, he rehabilitates disenchanted agents and helps them create new lives outside of the violent intelligence sector. Janson also takes on independent assignments - for a fee, he'll use his skills to resolve international crises. But only those that he believes contribute to the greater good of all. When oil executive Kingsman Helms begs Janson to rescue his wife, Allegra, from Somali pirates, Janson and Kincaid seize the opportunity. At last they can derail American Synergy Corporation's scheme to subvert sovereign nations into wholly owned subsidiaries. But the pirates are the least lethal threat in the violent chaos of oil-rich East Africa, and when Janson and Kincaid stumble into a bewildering storm of plots and counterplots, they begin to fear that the only way to escape would be to abandon the innocent Allegra.
