The Rose Garden by Marita Conlon-mckenna

Lovereading view...

In the cosy village of Kilfinn, not far from Dublin, people help each other and make friends easily. We enter the lives of a number of villagers but mostly young widowed Molly desperately trying to maintain a 200-year old estate she and her recently deceased husband were renovating. How she and friends turn it into a business proposition is gently told in a slowly unfolding tale of quiet charm. It’s the sort of untaxing book that is lovely to sink into and relax with.
