We have been enjoying another Ambassador Book Buzz! We give you The Confessions of Frannie Langton, which is a debut novel by Sara Collins. It has been eagerly anticipated all year by everyone here at LoveReading and it's fantastic that we get to share this brilliant book with our closest Blogger friends as a part of the new LoveReading Ambassador Book Buzz.
According to Frannie, “A novel is like a long, warm drink but a poem is a spike through the head”. By her definition, this novel is both these things - as potent as a poem, as addictive as a long, warm drink. - Joanne Owen
The Confessions of Frannie Langton is set in 1826. Frannie, maid to Mr and Mrs Benham is on trial at the Old Bailey for their murder. As the accusations and evidence against her mounts, Frannie Langton must tell her story for the first time. The tale spans her life, as a girl learning to read on a plantation in Jamaica through to her time in a grand house in London. But one question still hangs over Frannie's head, could she have murdered the one person she has ever loved?
