WE LOVE BOOKS!

LoveReading is the UK’s leading book recommendation website. Our mission is to promote a love of books and reading to all by offering the tools, advice and information needed to help our members and browsers to find their next favourite book. We have a panel of editorial experts that read the latest releases. Their reviews and recommendations make it easy for you to choose the perfect book to read next. Search by author genre or book titles to find the next book for you - and once you are a member, you can sign up to receive regular newsletters and save all the books you want to read or have read to your own digital bookshelf. Membership of the site is free and delivers a helpful range of unique online tools, including 10-15 page opening extracts and listening to samples of audiobooks from specially selected titles. You can also subscribe to our personalised newsletters to help you keep on top of all the new releases while having recommendations tailored just for you.

Our Star Books are a selection of our personal favourites from the books we've read each year. The ones that have really stood out from the crowd for us. We always say if you're only going to buy a few books this year, look at our Star Books selection.

Here's what our Reviews Editor Liz Robinson has to say about the books we've put forward for the Star Books category this year:

Our LoveReading Star Books, are those that have really spoken to us, we may have sobbed, laughed, ahhh’d, or sat as chills chased thrills in goosebumps down our arms. We have contemplated, felt thoroughly provoked, or just felt pure wonder at the beauty of the book in front of us. If you take a look, they are all quite different, unique even, but collectively sit together to form a wonderful hoard of reading treasure!

We have a HUGE giveaway for you to really end your year on a high. We're giving you the opportunity to win all the books selected as Star Books this year! That's around 40 books that you can keep for yourself, share with friends and family or give as Christmas gifts. A year's worth of reading and some of our favourite books published this year, for you, for free! You can enter the giveaway here!

Still looking for more inspiration, here's a photograph sent in by Liz of a selection (emphasis on not all of them) of the titles we'll be featuring in the giveaway:

Look at how many there are!!

We love books in all shapes and sizes and our Star Books collection always has a mix of genres: from crime and thriller to autobiography, sci-fi and fantasy, relationships and family drama
