Dr. Zhuomin Zhang is a Professor in the G. W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. He worked at NIST and University of Florida prior to joining Georgia Tech. Professor Zhang is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Physical Society, and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. His research interests are in micro/nanoscale heat transfer, especially nanoscale thermal radiation, for energy conversion and temperature measurement. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 journal papers and book chapters and mentored to graduation more than 20 Ph.D. students. He was a recipient of the 1999 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) and the 2015 ASME Heat Transfer Memorial Award, among others.
