TREVOR STONE served for thirty-five years as an officer in the Royal Air Force Logistics Branch and has been its honorary historian for over ten years. Trevor has researched the subject area of this book as part of an MA in Military History and during his PhD studies. He has accompanied several military battlefield tours to Normandy and lectures on air power logistics widely to a range of audiences.
