Dr Rajender Singh, PhD, is a Principal Scientist at the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow. He received Bachelor of Sciences from Kurukshetra University in the field of medical sciences. During Master of Sciences course in Biotechnology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, he received fellowship from the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. He received research fellowship from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to pursue Ph.D. in reproductive genetics from the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad. Immediately upon completion of Ph.D., Dr. Singh joined the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow as a scientist. His research interests include understanding of the causes of and developing modalities for the treatment of male infertility. His recent research work has identified DNA methylation based markers that can differentiate fertile sperm from infertile sperm. This would help in sperm selection in infertility clinics and also expl
