Lambros Philippou earned a BA in philosophy from the University of Cyprus, a BA in philosophy and social theory from the University of Warwick and a PhD in philosophy from the Australian National University. His thesis title was "Foucault and Derrida in Search of a New Economy: Ethics and Politics." After completing his studies, he taught philosophy at Cypriot academic institutions. He is the author of a book in Greek ('The Dialectic of the Cypriot Reason') and has published widely in international academic journals. His research interests include ethics, continental philosophy, political philosophy, philosophy of history and philosophy of biology.
