Katharine McGregor is an Associate Professor in Southeast Asian history based in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne. She has written mostly about memory, violence, history making and women’s activism in Indonesia. Her recent books include The Indonesian Genocide of 1965: Causes, Dynamics and Legacies (2018), co-edited with Annie Pohlman and Jess Melvin. She is currently writing a book on transnational activism for Indonesian survivors of enforced military prostitution during the Japanese Occupation of the Netherlands East Indies as an outcome of her 2013–2018 ARC Future Fellowship. Ana Dragojlovic is Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at the University of Melbourne. She is working at the intersection of feminist, queer, postcolonial and affect theory with a primary focus on gender and mobility; violence, memory, and trauma.
