Jenny T. Bencardino, MD, started her academic career as Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School (2000–3) and was promoted to full Professor of Radiology and Orthopedic Surgery at NYU School of Medicine in 2015. She graduated in Medicine from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in 1991 and is board certified in Radiology both in Colombia (1996) and in the United States (2000). She completed fellowship training in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the Hospital for Joint Diseases NYU Medical Center in 1997.  Dr. Bencardino has served as Guest Editor for MRI Clinics of North America (2012) and Seminars in Musculoskeletal Imaging (2013) and is the Section Editor of “Imaging of the Knee” in Insall & Scott Surgery of the Knee, 6th edition (2015). She is an editorial board member for Skeletal Radiology and a member of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Editorial Committee for the American Journal of Roentgenology.
