Jennifer A. Ostergren, PhD, CCC-SLP is an assistant professor and graduate advisor in the Department of Communicative Disorders at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). She specializes in assistive technology, neurologic language and cognitive disorders, and professional practice issues. Dr. Ostergren has published and presented nationally in the areas of supervision, and the training and function of speech-language pathology assistants (SLPAs). She has been appointed to serve on the Coordinating Committee for the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Special Interest Group 11 (Supervision and Administration) (2014--2016) and is a site visitor for the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) (2012--2016). Dr. Ostergren is the recipient of the 2012 National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSHLA) Editor's Choice Award and the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership Award.
