Books By Donna L. Gilton - Author

Donna L. Gilton earned a bachelor’s degree in history and elementary education from Simmons University, a master’s degree in library science from Simmons, and a Ph.D in library science from the University of Pittsburgh. In the first twenty years of her career, she served as a children’s librarian at the Boston Public Library, head librarian at the Belize Teachers’ College (now part of the University of Belize), and business reference librarian at Western Kentucky University and Pennsylvania State University. She is now a professor emerita at the University of Rhode Island where she taught reference and information services, information literacy, multiculturalism in libraries, comparative librarianship, the history of the book, and courses in business, humanities, and social sciences reference.
