Andrew Fowler is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Universities of Limerick and Oxford.  His principal research interests lie in the applications of mathematics in geoscience.Mark McGuinness is Professor of Applied Mathematics at Victoria University of Wellington, where he has worked since 1991. He enjoys attending Mathematics-in-Industry Study Groups and working on industrial mathematics problems, as well as modelling geophysical problems using differential equations. He is Chair of ANZIAM and Convenor of the Mathematics in Industry New Zealand Reference Group.
