Alex Miller is a Sheffield Wednesday writer for the Sheffield Star newspaper. Covering the Owls home and away, he has slowly but surely fallen in love with the club and '91 is his first book. After realising at a young age he was going to fall a very, very long way short of a career in professional football, he set about getting as close to the action as he possibly could; which meant gaining lawful access to the Press box. A graduate of Leeds Trinity University, where he completed an undergraduate and master's degree in journalism, Alex wrote for newspapers including the Yorkshire Post and Halifax Courier before he was seconded to The Star in 2019. After two months his posting was made permanent and after quickly realising the role covering Sheffield Wednesday was somewhere close to a dream job, he's been humming along to Hi-Ho Silver Lining ever since.
