Jane McLoughlin is an American who has lived in the UK for over 20 years. She teaches English in a secondary school and "At Yellow Lake" is her first novel. It was nominated for the 2013 Carnegie Award, longlisted for the 2013 Branford Boase Award and shortlisted for the 2014 Sussex Coast Schools Amazing Book Awards.
