Tilly Bagshawe is the internationally bestselling author of four previous novels. A teenage single mother at 17, Tilly won a place at Cambridge University and took her baby daughter with her. She went on to enjoy a successful career in The City before becoming a writer. As a journalist, Tilly contributed regularly to the Sunday Times, Daily Mail and Evening Standard before following in the footsteps of her sister Louise and turning her hand to novels.
Tilly's first book, Adored, was a smash hit on both sides of the Atlantic and she hasn't looked back since. She is married and has two young sons as well as Tilly's daughter Sefi, who is now 18. The family divide their time between their homes in Kensington and Los Angeles and their beach house on Nantucket Island.

A simply delightful romp, stuffed to the glamorous brim with revenge, scandal, intrigue and a joyfully good story. This is the second in the ‘Swell Valley’ series, set after ‘The Inheritance’ and while some of the same characters breeze in to say hello, there are some stimulating new additions to the village. The map and list of characters are enjoyable but not absolutely essential as Tilly Bagshawe is an expert at handling a large cast. The author skilfully manipulates stories within stories, the drama of the big scenes sitting perfectly alongside the descriptive every day detailing. There are occasions when some ‘me time’ is called for and ‘The Show’ really is an eloquent and entertaining companion to escape with for a few hours. ~ Liz Robinson
July 2014 Book of the Month. Glamour in the manor! Tilly Bagshawe, author of jet-setting, glitzy novels turns her sights on to the British top set, all very Jilly Cooper-esque and great fun. Tatiana had expected to inherit her family’s estate but her father leaves it to a self-made millionaire cousin in Australia. So daggers are drawn and Tatiana (Tati) does all she can to contest the will and win the estate … only she has to do a lot more than just go to court! I am told this begins a series of Tati’s exploits – great.
One of our Great Reads You May Have Missed in 2012. Third in her glitzy ‘bonk-buster’ series and like the first two, Fame and Scandalous, Friends and Rivals is a fantastic escapist read full of impossibly beautiful people, fueled by power, jealousy and lust and a suitcase full of emotional issues - we love it. Tilly Bagshawe has reinvented the ‘bonk buster’ for the 21st century - perfect for everyone who loves Jilly Cooper, Penny Vincenzi, Tasmina Perry and Louise Bagshawe. A few Lovereading members have been lucky enough to get to read this novel ahead of publication. Scroll down to see what they think...
June 2011 Book of the Month. Escapist, indulgent, racy and fun. Set against a backdrop of a sumptuous crumbling English country house, the film-set of Wuthering Heights is as salacious as the setting is beautiful. This is not 'celebrity.' This is the real deal. This is Fame.
July 2010 Book of the Month. A perfect beach read, pure escapism as two women seek revenge on the man who broke their hearts and thought he was above them all. Revenge, power, sex and love all combine in a great romping novel.
The glamorous world of international diamond dealing allows the story to travel the world visiting some of the wealthiest cities around the globe. While meeting the richest and most beautiful people in the business the heroine of the piece tries to keep her morals and integrity intact in this ruthless world as she fights to make it to the top. Fantastic blockbuster stuff.
Oh what fun. Good old-fashioned glitz, glamour, scandal and bitchiness with plenty of sex. It all revolves around the luxury hotel business with two determined characters (of the opposite sex of course!) set to make their hotel outshine the other. Dirty tricks, blackmail and more keep you turning the pages in this delightful escapist romp. Comparison: Louise Bagshawe, Tasmina Perry, Olivia Darling.
We wouldn't normally recommend a hardback as a summer read but Tilly Bagshaw is just such fun that we couldn't resist. Unashamedly sexy, it's the perfect read for the beach, bath or wherever you want to take it!
Do you remember Dynasty and Lace, great big eventful, passionate blockbusters? Well, this is one such. An area under-published at the moment but a book for all who love Desperate Housewives or Footballers’ Wives. It’s wonderful stuff. Rich, spoilt people, a rebellious daughter who knows she can do it on her own, and a nasty evil world to confront. It’s a cracking read, glamorous, sexy and totally compulsive.Comparison: Jilly Cooper, Jackie Collins, Louise Bagshawe.Similar this month: None but try Annabel Dilke, Sara MacDonald.
A ‘Jackie Collins’ style sexy blockbuster of Hollywood packed full of ambition, greed, intrigue family secrets and international settings – irresistible if you are in the mood
