More: Life on the Edge of Adventure and Motherhood
As one of the world’s leading female professional rock and ice climbers, Majka Burhardt and her husband led globe-trotting, adventure-seeking lives. When she learns that she’s pregnant—with twins—Burhardt at first tries to justify her insistence on pursuing extreme risk in the face of responsibility. But she is ultimately forced to grieve the avalanche of emotions that accompanies any major life transitions along with the physical changes in her own body. Based on the letters and journals Burhardt diligently kept over the course of those six years, More takes the reader on an around-the-world journey as Burhardt explores the transformative, identity-shifting experience of motherhood and its irreversible impact on career, identity, marriage, and self. In the early weeks of her children's lives, Burhardt immerses herself in adoration for her twins and grappling with the tremendous guilt and struggle around having to return to risk-laden work and that ever elusive balance mothers everywhere seek amidst it all. As the newness of her twins fades into a permanent reality, Burhardt turns her attention towards her marriage and the collateral damage as she and her husband, Peter, struggle to navigate their new normal. As anger and resentment threaten the foundation of her family, Burhardt courageously looks to her past—and her own mother's tumultuous and confusing history of success, violence, and ragged divorce—to better understand her own way forward. How will she break free from the legacy of her own childhood to start fresh with her own family? Raw, candid, and galvanizing, More is a passionate and poignant testament to the enduring power of love and our lifelong journey to understand ourselves as we strive to always pursue more.

Death in Yellowstone: Accidents and Foolhardiness in the First National Park, Second Edition
The chilling tome that launched an entire genre of books about the often gruesome but always tragic ways people have died in our national parks, this updated edition of the classic includes calamities in Yellowstone from the past sixteen years, including the infamous grizzly bear attacks in the summer of 2011 as well as a fatal hot springs accident in 2000. In these accounts, written with sensitivity as cautionary tales about what to do and what not to do in one of our wildest national parks, Whittlesey recounts deaths ranging from tragedy to folly—from being caught in a freak avalanche to the goring of a photographer who just got a little too close to a bison. Armchair travelers and park visitors alike will be fascinated by this important book detailing the dangers awaiting in our first national park.

Now Then: A Biography of Yorkshire
From the perspective of an exiled Yorkshireman this bestselling, award winning author returns to his native county to discover and reveal its soul. Now Then is a biographical mosaic of Yorkshire. Rick Broadbent, an award-wining author and exiled Yorkshireman, goes in search of the soul of England's biggest county and produces an all-encompassing portrait of a place that has been victimised and stereotyped since the days of Williams the Conqueror. Incorporating social history, memoir, reportage and author interviews, Now Then paints a picture of what it means to be from Yorkshire - both now and back then. Now Then is not a hagiography and Broadbent visits devastated mining communities, an inner-city homeless shelter and the county's most isolated sheep farm, as well as examining the truth about well-known Yorkshire figures and institutions. From the Bronte sisters and Marks amp; Spencer to the Yorkshire pudding, accent and Ripper, this is a funny, wise and searching account of the county that gave the world its first football club and its last witch-burning. Ultimately, this is an affectionate but unsparing look at a county, its people and their flinty vowels. It is about the real Yorkshire and its daily life, as well as Dracula and Geoffrey Boycott.

The Travel Bog Diaries: One Woman's hilarious confessions of surviving family travel
Meet Liz. Mother of two teenage kids and wife of Brian. Faced with midlife & realising that unless she gets her skates on, she'll never get to live out her fantasy of travelling the world with her family (and be like that woman from Eat, Pray Love), Liz plans a year-long globetrotting trip. Annoyingly, things don't quite go as expected. This is probably because Liz is slightly deluded & chooses to ignore the fact that her husband has acid reflux & can't eat anything foreign, & her teenage children would rather scroll funny Snapchat videos than look at old things in Europe. Even if they wanted to. Armed with humour, optimism, this feel-good hilarious pee-your-pants, laugh-out-loud memoir will have you changing your life and racing to book your next adventure. Prepare to laugh, cry & curl your toes. Clench those buttocks, fellow traveller. We're off on a (real) family vacation...! What readers are saying: '…brilliantly entertaining writing…read it all in one sitting...' '... Bridget Jones crossed with Eat, Pray, Love...a wickedly funny delight!...' “…I snorted with laughter, Liz is genuinely hilarious…” “…everything you could want in a travel memoir & more…” “…inspiring, funny, cringe-worthy & heartwarming, often all at the same time. Winter Notes on Summer Impressions
In June 1862, Dostoevsky left St. Petersburg on his first excursion to Western Europe. Ostensibly making the trip to consult Western specialists about his epilepsy, he also wished to see the source of the Western ideas he believed were corrupting Russia. Over the course of his journey he visited a number of major cities, including Berlin, Paris, London, Florence, Milan, and Vienna. His impressions on what he saw, Winter Notes on Summer Impressions, were first published in the February 1863 issue of 'Vremya' (Time), the periodical he edited, and are collected here.
