The Story of Gaia: The Big Breath and the Evolutionary Journey of Our Conscious Planet
• 2023 Nautilus Gold Award • Examines our emergence as self-aware members of a Universe that is itself a unified and innately sentient entity that exists TO evolve • Shares leading-edge scientific breakthroughs and shows how they support traditional visions of Earth as a living being--Gaia • Rewrites evolution as not driven by random occurrences and mutations but by intelligently informed and meaningful information flows and processes Exploring our emergence as self-aware members of a planetary home and entire Universe that is a unified and innately sentient entity, Jude Currivan, Ph.D., shows that mind and consciousness are not what we possess but what we and the whole world fundamentally are. She reveals our Universe as "a great thought of cosmic mind," manifesting as a cosmic hologram of meaningful in-formation that, vitally, exists to evolve. Sharing scientific breakthroughs, the author details the 13.8 billion-year story of our Universe and Gaia, where everything in existence has inherent meaning and evolutionary purpose. Showing how the Universe was born, not in an implicitly chaotic big bang, but as the first moment of a fine-tuned and ongoing "big breath," she shares the latest evidence for the innate sentience that has guided our universal journey from simplicity to ever-greater complexity, diversity, and self-awareness--from protons to planets, plants, and people. She explains how evolution is not driven by random occurrences and mutations but by profoundly resonant and harmonic interplays of forces and influences, each intelligently informed and guided. In Gaia, the Universe's evolutionary impulse is embodied in collaborative relationships and dynamic co-evolutionary partnerships on a planetary scale and as a wholistic gaiasphere. She reveals how the conscious evolution of humanity is an integral part of Gaia's own evolutionary progress and purpose. By perceiving and experiencing our planet as a sentient being and ourselves as Gaians, we open ourselves to a deeply ecological, evolutionary, and, above all, hopeful worldview.

Why? The Purpose of the Universe
Why are we here? What's the point of existence? On the 'big questions' of meaning and purpose, Western thought has been dominated by the dichotomy of traditional religion and secular atheism. In this pioneering work, Philip Goff argues that it is time to move on from both God and atheism. Through an exploration of contemporary cosmology and cutting-edge philosophical research on consciousness, Goff argues for cosmic purpose: the idea that the universe is directed towards certain goals, such as the emergence of life. In contrast to religious thinkers, Goff argues that the traditional God is a bad explanation of cosmic purpose. Instead, he explores a range of alternative possibilities for accounting for cosmic purpose, from the speculation that we live in a computer simulation to the hypothesis that the universe itself is a conscious mind. Goff scrutinizes these options with analytical rigor, laying the foundations for a new paradigm of philosophical inquiry into the middle ground between God and atheism. Ultimately, Goff outlines a way of living in hope that cosmic purpose is still unfolding, involving political engagement and a non-literalist interpretation of traditional religion.

Albert Einstein: Father Of The Modern Scientific Age
Albert Einstein is universally regarded as the most brilliant scientist of the 20th century. In 1905, during his “Miracle Year” as a clerk in the Swiss patent office, he wrote four papers that revolutionized the field of theoretical physics. Over the course of his career, Einstein introduced modern science to the concept of space-time, inadvertently launched America on the path towards developing the atomic bomb, and was offered the presidency of Israel. He was the first scientific superstar—a world-wide celebrity whose popularity was matched only by his astounding feats of imagination. In his later years Albert Einstein was known as a gentle and lovable man who forgot his socks and rarely combed his hair. But he was much more than an absent-minded genius. He was a fierce individualist, who, as a teenager, renounced his German citizenship rather than serve in the army. As a rebel against every form of authority, an outspoken enemy of anti-Semitism and fascism, and a socialist with an enduring commitment to social justice, you will learn in this book that even as Einstein was setting Newtonian physics on its ear, he considered his most important work to be about something very different: the bettering of humanity.

UAPs and the Nuclear Puzzle: Visitations, National Security, and the Need for Transparency
In 1969 the US Air Force issued a statement that read‚ 'No UFO reported, investigated, and evaluated by the Air Force was ever an indication of threat to our national security.' This statement has been proven untrue by the testimony of many military officers and airmen and documentation of incidents involving UFOs and nuclear weapons, testimonies of which the US Air Force was fully aware. UAPs and the Nuclear Puzzle details many of these testimonies, some for the first time. As partial justification for its position, the Air Force cites a University of Colorado study that was contracted and paid for by federal funds. UAPs and the Nuclear Puzzle reveals how this study was actually just another part of the plan to cover up the reality of the UFO phenomenon. This book reveals evidence that the investigators for the Colorado study knew about the UFO-related missile shutdown incidents but did not investigate them or include them in their final report. As stated by Robert Salas: 'To date, many former or retired US Air Force personnel-once trusted to operate or guard weapons of mass destruction-have come forward and revealed ongoing UFO surveillance of, and occasional interference with, our nuclear weapons. The entire body of these factual accounts alters the historical perspective on the nuclear arms race.'

Starborn: How the Stars Made Us (and Who We Would Be Without Them)
A sweeping inquiry into how the night sky has shaped human history For as long as humans have lived, we have lived beneath the stars. But under the glow of today's artificial lighting, we have lost the intimacy our ancestors once shared with the cosmos. In Starborn, cosmologist Roberto Trotta reveals how stargazing has shaped the course of human civilization. The stars have served as our timekeepers, our navigators, our muses-they were once even our gods. How radically different would we be, Trotta also asks, if our ancestors had looked up to the night sky and seen… nothing? He pairs the history of our starstruck species with a dramatic alternate version, a world without stars where our understanding of science, art, and ourselves would have been radically altered. Revealing the hidden connections between astronomy and civilization, Starborn summons us to the marvelous sight that awaits us on a dark, clear night-to lose ourselves in the immeasurable vastness above.
