The Penny Dreadfuls: Volume 2: Macbeth Rebothered; The Odyssey; The Curse of the Beagle
Comedy trio The Penny Dreadfuls recount the story of the much-maligned Macbeth, revisit Odysseus’ epic journey and reveal the truth behind Darwin’s famous voyage The Penny Dreadfuls – Humphrey Ker, David Reed and Thom Tuck – are a comedy trio who specialise in retelling historical events in their own, inimitable way. In these riotous revisionist plays, they present alternative takes on three famous tales, ably assisted by guests including Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Lolly Adefope, Robert Webb and Susan Calman. Macbeth Rebothered: It’s the Scottish Play, but not as we know it: The Penny Dreadfuls present a rebooted version of the classic story that paints the noble King in a very different light. Starring Greg McHugh as Macbeth and Susan Calman as the Narrator. The Odyssey: The Penny Dreadfuls take on Homer's tale of Odyseuss's epic journey home from the Trojan Wars and the incredible monsters and enchantress he encounters en route. Starring Robert Webb as Odysseus. The Curse of the Beagle: In 1831, a 22-year-old Charles Darwin set sail on HMS Beagle for a five-year voyage that changed the course of his life. He later published his stories of the trip, but in this reimagining The Penny Dreadfuls uncover the untold story that Darwin kept to himself. Produced by Julia McKenzie.

Three fantastic series of the satirical radio panel game from 2014 In these 26 episodes, we turn the clock back to 2014 - the year when Scotland said 'no' to independence, Ukrainians ousted their pro-Russia president in the Maidan Revolution, and the European Space Agency's Philae probe made its historic first landing on a comet. Sandi Toksvig is in the chair for every show bar one, in which Susan Calman steps in as temporary host. Subjects on the table for the team include NHS pay, a badger crash, commuter train standards, Russian activities in Crimea, dietary health scares, passport delays and black cab strikes. Giving us the skinny on these and many other stories are panellists including Kevin Day, David Mitchell, Romesh Ranganathan, Jo Brand, Angela Barnes, Sarah Millican, Lucy Porter, Paul Sinha and Tom Wrigglesworth - as well as Olympic gold medallist Duncan Goodhew, who joins the team for a 'Sport Relief' special. The Guessing Game: The Complete Series 1 and 2: A BBC Radio Comedy Quiz Show
Clive Anderson hosts the comedy panel game that fancies itself as an intelligent quiz Ostensibly a quickfire quiz, The Guessing Game is really a show that pushes facts aside in favour of flights of fancy and rewards the funniest, luckiest and most bizarre guesses. The premise is simple: host Clive Anderson fires off a series of difficult and implausible questions, and awards points to the panellists for their outlandish answers. What's the difference between Justin Bieber and a banana? Who invented the cat hole? Why would humans lose a war with chickens? These posers, and many others, are tackled by some of Britain's best and brightest celebrities, among them Rory Bremner, Phill Jupitus, Christopher Brookmyre, Jo Caulfield, Josh Widdicombe, Lucy Porter and Cariad Lloyd. Series 1 is a complete free-for-all, but in Series 2, Alex Horne and Susan Calman step in as team captains to try and impose some order on the chaos. Included here are all 12 episodes of the witty, whimsical and wildly speculative show - so sit back and enjoy six fun-filled hours of silly questions and even sillier answers. Susan Calman: Keep Calman Carry On: The Complete Series 1 and 2
Susan Calman is the least relaxed person she knows. She has no down-time, no hobbies (unless you count dressing up your cats in silly outfits) and her idea of relaxation is to play Assassins Creed, an hour into which she is in a murderous rage with sky high blood pressure. Her wife had to threaten to divorce her to make her go on holiday, and shes been told by the same long-suffering wife that unless she finds a way to switch off, and soon, shes going to be unbearable. Susan decided her best bet was to try to immerse herself in the pursuits that her friends find relaxing, to find her inner zen and outer tranquillity. In the first series of this show she attempted to ditch the old Susan Calman and attempted to find the new Susan Calm, by watching cricket with Andy Zaltzman; going hillwalking with Muriel Gray; visiting an art gallery with Phill Jupitus and taking a spontaneous holiday with John Finnemore. She enjoyed these pursuits, but all too soon found herself slipping back into her old ways. So she tried again in Series 2, which involved learning about gardening with Val McDermid, going to a music festival with Robin Ince, trying her hand at baking with the Great British Bake Offs Selasi Gbormittah, and having a go at birdwatching with Emma Kennedy. Keep Calman Carry On is a stand-up show in front of a live audience, in which Susan reports on how successful shes been - both at relaxing and at the pursuit itself - as well as playing in and discussing a handful of illustrative clips from her efforts. Its an attempt to find out how people find solace or sanctuary in these worlds, and how Susan can negotiate her own place in them.
