Working for God: A 31-Day Study
'Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' And they went. - Matthew 20:4 The first objective of this book is to remind all Christian workers of the greatness and the glory of the work in which God gives a share. As we see that it is God's own work that we have to work out, and that in our working, His glory rests on us and we glorify Him, then we shall count it our joy to live only and wholly for His work. The purpose of this book at the same time is to help those who complain, or perhaps do not even know enough to complain, that they are apparently laboring in vain, by helping them discover what may be the cause of so much failure. God's work must be done in God's way and in God's power. It is spiritual work to be done by spiritual men in the power of the Spirit. The clearer our submission to God's laws of work, the surer and richer our joy and reward in it will be. Follows Waiting on God, also by Andrew Murray About the Author Andrew Murray (1828-1917) was a well-known South African writer, teacher, and pastor. More than two million copies of his books have been sold, and his name is mentioned among other great leaders of the past, such as Charles Spurgeon, T. Austin-Sparks, George Muller, D. L. Moody, and more.

Words of Warning: For Those Wavering Between Belief and Unbelief
He that believes in the Son has eternal life, and he that does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. (John 3:36) This book, Words of Warning, is an analysis of people and the gospel of Christ. Under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Charles H. Spurgeon sheds light on the many ways people may refuse to come to Christ, but he also shines a brilliant light on how we can be saved. Unsaved or wavering individuals will be convicted, and if they allow it, they will be led to Christ. Sincere Christians will be happy and blessed as they consider the great salvation with which they have been saved. Whether or not we look to Jesus Christ for salvation is the single most important determination we must make during our lifetime. Countless books have been written addressing just about every imaginable self-help topic. Other books are written solely for entertainment. Some of these books are okay in their own right, but what good are they to the reader if he is lost in the end? Why do we spend so much time even with good things, but neglect the great? Not one thing we can do during our seventy or eighty years on earth amounts to anything if we are not in Christ. What we do for Christ is everlasting, and by claiming our salvation in Him, we have an exceedingly bright future. About the Author Charles Haddon (C. H.) Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a British Baptist preacher. He started preaching at age 17 and quickly became famous. He is still known as the "Prince of Preachers" and frequently had more than 10,000 people present to hear him preach at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. His sermons were printed in newspapers, translated into many languages, and published in many books.

Words of Counsel: For All Leaders, Teachers, and Evangelists
There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents. (Luke 15:10) Is there any occupation as profitable or rewarding as that of winning souls for Christ? It is a desirable employment, and the threshold for entry into this profession is set at a level any Christian may achieve – you must only love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, and mind; and your fellow man as yourself. This work is for all genuine Christians, of all walks of life. This is for you, fellow Christian. Be prepared to be inspired, challenged, and convicted. Be prepared to weep, for the Holy Spirit may touch you deeply as you consider your coworkers, your neighbors, the children you know, and how much the Lord cares for these individuals. But you will also be equipped. Charles Spurgeon knew something about winning souls, and he holds nothing back as he shares biblical wisdom and practical application regarding the incredible work the Lord wants to do through His people to reach the lost. Words of Cheer for Daily Life: Messages to Encourage the Heart
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. – 1 Peter 4:13 Child of God, do not say that the sun is quenched because the cloud has hidden it. No! It is behind there, preparing summer for you, for when it comes out again, it will have made the clouds ready to drop in April showers, all of them mothers of the sweet May flowers. Above all, when your God hides His face, do not say that He has forgotten you. He is only tarrying a little while to make you love Him better. When He comes, you will have joy in the Lord and will rejoice with joy unspeakable (1 Peter 1:8). Waiting exercises our grace. Waiting tests our faith. Therefore, wait in hope, for although the promise tarries, it can never come too late. We never have such close dealings with God as when we are in tribulation. When the barn is full, we can live without God. When the safe is bursting with gold, we somehow can do without as much prayer. But once your gourds have been taken away (Jonah 4), you want your God. Once the idols are cleansed away out of the house, then you must go and honor the Lord. God does not afflict willingly, nor grieve us for nothing, but He does so out of love and affection. He knows that if He leaves us unchastised, we will bring upon ourselves misery ten thousand times greater than we will suffer by His slight rebukes and the gentle blows of His hand. He is admonishing you, not punishing you. He is correcting you in measure, not smiting you in wrath. There is no angry displeasure in His heart. Even though His brow may be ruffled, there is no anger in Him toward you. Even though His eye may have closed upon you, He does not hate you. He still loves you. - Charles H. Spurgeon

With Christ in the School of Prayer: A 31-Day Study
This book has been written with a deep impression that the place and power of prayer in the Christian life is too little understood. I feel sure that as long as we look on prayer solely as the means of maintaining our own Christian life, we shall not know fully what it is meant to be. But when we learn to regard it as the highest part of the work entrusted to us, the root and strength of all other work, we shall see that we need nothing more than to study and practice the art of praying. If I have succeeded in pointing out the progressive teaching of our Lord in regard to prayer, and the distinct reference of His wonderful promises of His last night to the works we are to do in His name – to the greater works and the bearing of much fruit – we shall all admit that only when the church gives herself up to this holy work of intercession can she expect the power of Christ to manifest itself on her behalf. I pray that God will use this book to explain to some of His children the wonderful place of power and influence that He is waiting for them to occupy and that a weary world is waiting for too. - Andrew Murray

Waiting on God: A 31-Day Study
Wait for the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, for the LORD - Psalm 27:14 Too little time is given to waiting on the Lord at our conventions and assemblies, and in our private devotions. Isn't He willing to make things right in His own divine way? Has the life of God's people reached the utmost limit of what He is willing to do for them? Surely not. We need to wait on Him and put away our experiences, however blessed they have been; our personal concept of truth, however sound and scriptural we think it is; our plans, however needful and suitable they appear. We must give the Lord time and place to show us what He could do and what He will do. The Lord has new developments and new resources. He can do new things, unheard-of things, and hidden things. Let us enlarge our hearts and not limit Him. Precedes Working for God, also by Andrew Murray About the Author Andrew Murray (1828-1917) was a well-known South African writer, teacher, and pastor. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) There is life in Christ. Rich, joyous, wonderful life. It is true that the Lord disciplines those whom He loves and that we are often tempted by the world and our enemy, the devil. But if we know how to go beyond that temptation to cling to the cross of Jesus Christ and keep our eyes on our Lord, our reward both here on earth and in heaven will be 100 times better than what this world has to offer. This book is thorough. It brings to life the love of God, examines the state of the unsaved individual's soul, and analyzes what took place on the cross for our sins. The Way to God takes an honest look at our need to repent and follow Jesus, and gives hope for unending, joyous eternity in heaven. About the author: Dwight L. Moody, determined to make a fortune, arrived in Chicago and started selling shoes. But Christ found him and his energies were redirected into full-time ministry. And what a ministry it was. Today, Moody's name still graces a church, a mission, a college, and more. Moody loved God and men, and the power of a love like that impacts generations.

The Ten Commandments: Life Application of the Ten Commandments
Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven – Matthew 5:19 Every one of the Ten Commandments is relevant today. Some think of these commandments as the Law of Moses, now replaced by God's grace and mercy, but a closer look reveals that we can't willfully break a single one of the commandments and live. Every one of the commandments wholeheartedly obeyed will produce fruit of righteousness, peace, and spiritual prosperity. Society says 'do whatever you want' but a careful study and application of this set of 'life principles' will provide boundless fruit for the righteous. Originally written in the 1600's, Thomas Watson's commentary on the Ten Commandments is as relevant today as it was then, if not more so. The text was carefully updated for modern readers, with much care taken to convey the truth in Watson's writings in such a way that readers today can more easily understand his writing, and as such, more easily apply the truth to their own lives. May the LORD God of heaven and earth bless you richly as you read and obey!

The Spirit-Filled Life: Restoring a Biblical Understanding and Experience of the Holy Spirit
I wish to urge all Christians, especially ministers of the gospel, to give The Spirit-Filled Life a prayerful reading. I feel confident it will bring them help and blessing. It will deepen the conviction of the great need and absolute duty of being filled with the Spirit. It will point out the hindrances and open up the way. It will stir up faith and hope. And I trust it will bring many people to feel that it is at the footstool of the throne – in the absolute surrender of a new consecration – that the blessing is to be received from God himself. May this book stir up all its readers, not only to seek this blessing for themselves, but also to pray earnestly that God may give the Holy Spirit in power throughout His whole church. It is when the tide comes in that every pool is filled and all the separate little pools are lost in the great ocean. As all believers who know or seek this blessing begin to pray as intensely for each other and all their brethren as for themselves, this is when the power of the Spirit will be fully known. With the prayer that this Spirit-filled book may be greatly blessed of God, I commend it to the study of His children. - Andrew Murray
