Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) Basiswissen - Leben, Werk, Bedeutung
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Musikalisches Ausnahmetalent.

Wladimir Iljitsch Lenin (1870-1924) Basiswissen - Leben, Werk, Bedeutung (Ungekürzt)

"In a searing indictment of silent complicity, White Rose shines a light on one remarkable young woman's insistence on the power of truth, no matter the cost. A timely call to resistance." - Joy McCullough, author of Blood Water Paint "White Rose is a resonant testament to courage. In a time of horrific brutality, young people found a nonviolent way to resist. Told in the form of poetry, the story of their hopes is honored and brought back to life, still relevant today, when regimes that spread hatred are once again thriving, and words are our most powerful defensive weapon." - Margarita Engle, author of Newbery Honoree The Surrender Tree and 2017-2019 Young People's Poet Laureate. "Both heart-wrenching and inspiring, Sophie Scholl's story, as retold by Kip Wilson in White Rose, is a stunning reminder to stand against evil, even when you stand alone. This is the kind of book that sticks in your heart long after you've finished. An incredible story of heroism incredibly told." - Mackenzi Lee, author of New York Times Bestseller The Gentleman's Guide to Vice & Virtue "White Rose is a deftly plotted, absorbing read. A bold tribute to a brave hero of the German resistance during World War II. Wilson's debut is a triumph!" -Melanie Crowder, author of National Jewish Book Award finalist Audacity "A graceful, moving portrait of a heroic young woman's defiant refusal to remain complicit with Nazi oppression." - Julie Berry, Printz Honor author of The Passion of Dolssa A gorgeous and timely novel based on the incredible story of Sophie Scholl, a young German college student who challenged the Nazi regime during World War II as part of The White Rose, a non-violent resistance group. Disillusioned by the propaganda of Nazi Germany, Sophie Scholl, her brother, and his fellow soldiers formed the White Rose, a group that wrote and distributed anonymous letters criticizing the Nazi regime and calling for action from their fellow German citizens. The following year, Sophie and her brother were arrested for treason and interrogated for information about their collaborators. This debut novel recounts the lives of Sophie and her friends and highlights their brave stand against fascism in Nazi Germany.

When God Wrecks Your Romance: Orthodox Faith, Unorthodox Story
When God Wrecks Your Romance is a coauthored memoir written by a newly ordained priest and a young married mother of four children. It's the story of two kids who fell for each other as teens, and, spoiler alert, ultimately did not end up together. It's pretty much the opposite of a quaint and dreamy Hollywood ending. Yet it most certainly is a happily ever after.". . . Amanda and Fr. Matt haven't written a vocations fairy tale, they've given us one better: a true-to-life example of what it means to 'hear' God calling you forward and to choose your response. It's hard to think of a book this good at showing spiritual growth."-Steven Lewis, Creator of Steve the Missionary"When God Wrecks Your Romance is a well-crafted love story that is relatable as well as endearing. . . . Even as a non-practicing Catholic, this story had a way of inviting me in and keeping me entertained."-Kim Collier, Founder of Brown Girls Who WriteFar from being a sappy romantic story with a predictable ending, When God Wrecks Your Romance is a beautiful and faith-filled account of love and the human desire for true happiness. At times thought provoking, at other times touching and tender, these reflections are honest and real.-Bishop William A. Wack, CSC, diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee

Warhead: The True Story of One Teen Who Almost Saved the World
An often hilarious and always relevant memoir about one teen boy's battle with brain cancer and his Starlight Children's Foundation wish: to meet Mikhail Gorbachev in Russia and plead for nuclear disarmament and world peace. It's 1986, and Jeff is an average fifteen-year-old: he thinks a lot about dating, he bounces around with his friends, and he's trying his hardest to get a car. Conversely, the world around him feels crazy: the United States and the Soviet Union are at glaring odds, with their leaders in a standoff, and that awful word, 'nuclear,' is on everyone's mind. Then, boom--Jeff learns that he has brain cancer and it's likely terminal. Well, that puts a damper on his summer plans and romantic prospects, doesn't it? Jeff's family rallies around him, but they are fiercely complicated--especially Jeff's father, a man who can't say 'I love you' even during the worst of Jeff's treatment. So when the Starlight Children's Foundation offers to grant Jeff a wish, he makes one certain to earn his father's respect: he asks to travel to Moscow and meet with Mikhail Gorbachev to discuss nuclear disarmament and ending the Cold War. Nothing like achieving world peace to impress a distant father, right? Jeff has always been one to aim high. Jeff's story is dark, but it's also funny, romantic, and surprising. As his life swings from incredibly ordinary to absolutely incredible, he grapples with the big questions of mortality, war, love, hope, and miracles. 'A sweet but unsentimental account of a truly fascinating nuclear childhood. Henigson had me at 'Gorbachev.'' --Gary Shteyngart, New York Times bestselling author of Little Failure and Lake Success 'It's a tale well-told--always gripping, often heartbreaking, and ultimately uplifting.' --Booklist

Votes for Women!: American Suffragists and the Battle for the Ballot
On August 18, 1920, American women finally won the right to vote. Ratification of the 19th Amendment was the culmination of an almost eighty-year fight in which some of the fiercest, most passionate women in history marched, protested, and sometimes broke the law in to achieve this huge leap toward equal rights. In this expansive yet personal volume, author Winifred Conkling covers not only the suffragists' achievements and politics but also the private journeys that fueled their passion and led them to become women's champions. From Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who founded the suffrage movement at the 1848 Seneca Falls convention; to Victoria Woodhull, the first female candidate for president; to Sojourner Truth and her famous speech, "Ain't I a Woman?"; to Alice Paul, who was arrested and force-fed in prison, Conkling combines thorough research with page-turning storytelling to bring the battle for the right to vote to vivid life. Votes for Women! also explores the movement's often powerful, sometimes difficult relationship with the temperance and abolition movements, and takes unflinching look at some of the uglier moments in the fight for the women's vote. Votes for Women! is a mesmerizing read perfect for fans of propulsive narrative nonfiction stories like Most Dangerous and The Family Romanov. Author bio: Winifred Conkling is the award-winning author of fiction and nonfiction for young readers, including Radioactive!: How Irene Curie and Lise Meitner Revolutionized Science and Changed the World?, Passenger on the Pearl: The True Story of Emily Edmonson's Flight from Slavery and the middle-grade novel Sylvia and Aki, winner of the Jane Addams Children's Literature Award and the Tomas Rivera Award. She studied journalism at Northwestern University and received an MFA in writing for children and young adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
