Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda Audiobook

Los trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda

Author: Miguel de Cervantes Narrator: Jaime Collepardo Release Date: May 2021

Street Nurse: Care with Caution Audiobook

Street Nurse: Care with Caution

Author: Alvin V. Williams Narrator: Kelley Young Release Date: May 2021

Street Nurses is a hard hitting audiobook that focuses on a group of nurses and doctors that take to the streets to help out those who are sick or injured and don't have the option of going to the hospital. For some it's because their injuries are gang related and they can get arrested if they end up in the ER. For others it's because they can't afford the hospital bills or their drug addiction will only get them escorted out.            This audio dramatic series will shed light on the fractured medical system within urban communities and how some people have to take healthcare into their own hands. Inspired by real people and their every day struggles, Street Nurses will show humanity and kindness in a tough inner city neighborhood.            This audio book series is centered around a young woman named BRIANNA who went on a downward spiral after the death of her mother. She found herself alone and addicted to heroine and one day she was cornered in an alley and brutally attacked. Brianna was left for dead when suddenly a group of strangers came to her rescue and treated her injuries. She woke up in a makeshift hospital a few days later to discover that she had been saved by a private group of medical professionals known as “The Street Nurses,” and that her mother was one of the founding members before she passed away.      The Street Nurses motto is: Care with Caution as anything can happen in this volatile arena. Everyone deserves medical attention when they need it and Street Nurses are here to answer that call.

Tales From Ariosto: retold for children by a lady Audiobook

Tales From Ariosto: retold for children by a lady

Author: Ludovico Ariosto Narrator: Russell Stamets Release Date: May 2021

My young readers ought to be told that the poem of the ' Mad Orlando ' is a continuation by Ariosto of a poem by Boiardo, an earlier poet, called ' Orlando in Love.' This helps to account for the abruptness with which the characters appear on the scene, and for the allusions to adventures in which they have taken part in an earlier period of their history. I have been obliged to retain some few of these, which abound in Ariosto — such as the allusions to an earlier visit of Angelica to Europe with her brother Argalia, who was slain by Terrau, and whose helmet was carried off by that knight; to the magic ring stolen from Angelica in Albracca bv Brunello, who also on that occasion committed the thefts mentioned in the story of ' Ruggiero and Bradamante'; and others which refer to a time when Angelica loved Rinaldo and he disliked her, a state of things completely changed before the first story opens. This little explanation may, I hope, make all such allusions tolerably intelligible.

Author: César Castrillón Narrator: Jesus Armando Fermin Release Date: May 2021

Author: Miguel de Cervantes Narrator: Ana Ragasol Release Date: May 2021

Structure Of Prayer Audiobook

Structure Of Prayer

Author: Diego Maenza Narrator: Ian A Miller Release Date: April 2021

"Christianity, from a priest and a nun, two stories crossed by the secret, by the suffering of not recognizing themselves in their "sins", in denying a reality that is telling them, more and more strongly, that they are weak before the acceptance of their wrong decisions. The characters are just mere figures placed in the plot to delve into a constant and disturbing message: someone is always on top of someone else; someone who sentences with ideas conditioned to their benefit". ALEXIS CUZME, writer " Structure of prayer is developed in an environment of religiosity and erudition, because in relation to the famous painting The Garden of Delights, by Hieronymus Bosch, the protagonist - who is a priest - interprets his own behavior and that of other human beings, from the beginning to the end of time". VERÓNICA FALCONÍ, writerA priest tormented by his instincts. Is this a pointless fight against the devil or a test of the heavens? A pregnant novice. Is it a transgression of the rules or a miracle in times of skepticism? A parade of exalted characters who defend the foundations of doctrine, and others, from miserable existences, whose lives call into question the foundations that support theology. Narrated from different points of view and approached through formal and thematic daring, Structure of Prayer immerses us in dense dramas where the spiritual decomposition of each of the protagonists will shorten the space for redemption, which not all will reach. The theological virtues and the mysteries of faith merge to give rise to the extensive Way of the Cross that circulates throughout these pages through the seven capital sins that are presented in the form of a bestiary, with each demon as a symbol of excess: Asmodeus, lust; Belfegor, laziness; Beelzebub, gluttony; Amon, anger; Leviathan, revenge; Mammon, greed; and, Lucifer, pride. Despite the crudeness of its lines, this novel is a spiritual book. PUBLISHER: TEKTIME

Hadji Murat Audiobook

Hadji Murat

Author: Leo Tolstoy, Leon Tolstoi Narrator: Martin Untrojb Release Date: April 2021

Tolstoy's novella blends fiction and historical fact to portray a legendary Avar chieftain who switched sides in the nineteenth-century Russo-Caucasian war. Inspired by the author's military service, Hadji Murád offers riveting views of warfare and treason, murder and vengeance, and behind-the-scenes political plotting. An uncharacteristically brief story by the creator of War and Peace, it voices Tolstoy's pacifist beliefs. This novella also provides a compelling depiction of the Caucasus, a mountainous territory between the Black Sea and the Caspian, prized for its strategic location and natural resources. Located at the crossroads of three empires - Turkey, Persia, and Russia - the region has long struggled with incursions by its neighbors and remains a troubled corner of the world to this day. Tolstoy's realistic pictures of life in a war zone raise enduringly relevant issues of life and death.
