The sins of the father, the sins of the son.
For years Sheriff Tom Gillman always did what the Baron asked of him. The same as his father did before him. Now that he's grown a conscience, he's being run out of town on a rail. His last day on the job, Tom decides to rob the town bank but he's beaten to it by an out of town crew looking to make a fast and easy score. The robbery goes wrong and becomes a hostage situation. Now, Tom must rescue the hostages and still rob the bank before the Baron's son, the new Sheriff elect (who will stop at nothing to protect his father's money) takes control and ruins Tom's plans.
Three nuclear warheads complete with their delivery systems have been stolen from a Russian missile base. It's up to Captain Gayle Ecevit USAF and her joint Russian team to find and secure the missing devices, with the help of two members of the SAS. All the signs point towards North Korea but to what end? Have they been taken to be reverse engineered to bolster a struggling weapons program or are they going to be used to ignite the Korean War all over again.
The answers may lie with a recent North Korean Defector sitting in the hands of the CIA but maybe he's a plant, put forward by North Korean Intelligence to muddy the waters. Meanwhile MI6 has it's eyes on a shadowy South African arms dealer who specializes in smuggling nuclear materials.
With a possible nuclear exchange in the balance, Gayle and her team must sift through all the possibilities and come to the right answer.
