Seabiscuit author set for UK follow-up

The author of the award-winning book Seabiscuit is set to launch her follow-up in the UK.
Fans of the award-wining Seabiscuit
will be pleased to hear that Laura Hillenbrand's follow-up work is set to be published in the UK within the coming months.
The tale of the American thoroughbred racehorse of the same name, the 2001 book won the William Hill Sports Book of the Year and was made into a major feature film two years later.
Now, The Bookseller has reported that Fourth Estate has acquired the publishing rights for Hillenbrand's first book since the Seabiscuit phenomenon.
Entitled Unbroken, the upcoming work tells the true tale of Louis Zamperini, who first enjoyed success as an American Olympian before going on to serve as a fighter pilot for his country in the Second World War.
Alongside being a successful author, Virginia-born Hillenbrand is also a celebrated essayist in the US, with her works being regularly published in publications such as The New Yorker and American Heritage.
