Assaf Gavron didn't have to wait long before penning his latest book.
Israeli author Assaf Gavron didn't have to wait for a sense of perspective before writing his latest book,
CrocAttack!.
In an interview with the Metro, the writer explained his desire to write a book on the second Palestinian uprising against the Israeli occupation almost immediately after it happened.
The uprising, which took place in the early part of the last decade, clearly had a strong effect on Gavron, who explained his need to begin writing "straight away, even if it was just for myself".
CrocAttack! is told from the perspective of Croc, an Israeli who has managed to survive a series of terror attacks, and Fahmi, a reluctant Palestinian suicide bomber.
"I'm not always as calm as the book," Gavron told the newspaper.
"When I hear anti-Israeli comments that are ignorant to fact, it makes me angry - I can shout at the TV."
Gavron went on to explain that he also gets angry with "stupid" Israeli propaganda.
Born in 1968, the Israeli author has published four novels and a variety of short stories.
