William King to pen new trilogy
15 Feb 2010
Reputed fantasy writer set to return with new trilogy.
William King, author of books such as
Space Wolf, has signed a three-book deal with publisher Black Library.
The return of the writer, who has not released a novel for some time, will excite many of his fans, particularly given the nature of the upcoming stories.
High elf characters Tyrion and Teclis will form the focus of the new reads, which will chronicle the 200 years prior to the current Warhammer timeline.
It is understood the story of the two brothers will net the author a five figure sum, with Black Library adopting the world rights to the product.
George Mann, head of Black Library, revealed his excitement over the upcoming books.
He said: "I'm overjoyed to be welcoming Bill King back to the Black Library, particularly with such an exciting and auspicious series.
"Bill has a real flair for a good story and his writing really brings the Warhammer world to life. I know people are going to adore these books."
King has also written
Gotrek and Felix.
