Her most recent novel isThe Confession of Katherine Howard  and tells the story of this ill-fated teen. She lives in Shropshire.

'I was dreading doing it - I really don't have any list  (in my head or indeed anywhere else) of books that have been special to me in some fundamental way.  But actually, in the event, I loved doing this! - a chance to re-visit old friends, as it were, and I surprised myself with what I decided to go for, in the end...'
