The Road to Hell by Sheila Quigley
When a woman's body is found mutilated in a field outside of Houghton-le-Spring it's more than just another case for DI Lorraine Hunt. Not only does the woman's body show evidence of violation and human bites, it also transpires that Lorraine knows the victim. But she also knows that this is an exact replica of a crime that occurred many years ago, on an evening that changed her and her friends' lives forever.
Sheila Quigley started work at 15 as a presser in Hepworths, a tailoring factory. She married at 18 and had three daughters: Dawn, Janice and Diane and a younger son, Michael. Recently divorced she now has eight grandchildren, six boys and two girls, and every Saturday and Sunday can be found at a football match for the under tens and under fifteens. Sheila has lived on the Homelands Estate (at present with her son and two dogs) at Houghton-le-Spring near Sunderland for 30 years. More books by this author Author 'Like for Like' recommendation
