Lovereading view...
Tenth book in the Matt Scudder series and still Block gets better and better. A gripping read from start to finish.
February 2010 Guest Editor Simon Kernick on A Walk Among the Tombstones
An author who perhaps more than any other, inspired me to write my first novel. This was the first of his I read and still my favourite. It’s a classic New York PI novel featuring the best modern-day PI of them all, Matt Scudder. Dark, terrifying, moody, and packing the type of punch you get so rarely from a book.
