Synopsis
Before We Were Thirty by Katie Agnew
Rachel Travis has lost her job, her figure, her friends and possibly her husband too. She has just moved from London to rural Wiltshire with their new baby and whilst all seems idyllic, Rachel can’t help feeling that life is passing her by. At first sight Rachel has little in common with the other young women in Coombe. Bianca is an ex-glamour model, Harriet is rich, bitchy and eccentric and Summer is an enigmatic hippy. But with the arrival of a mysterious, sexy young millionaire, things begin to hot up. Under Jack’s magical influence, Rachel, Bianca, Harriet and Summer are thrown together into a whirl of parties, adventures, friendship and love.
Why does Jack show such an interest in them all? Can one man really bring happiness to four women? As summer draws to an end, the twenty-somethings realise they still have a lot to learn before they are thirty…

About the Author

Katie Agnew was born in Edinburgh and educated at Aberdeen University and City University, London. She worked as a journalist for many years, writing for Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Red and the Daily Mail amongst others. She was features editor on Marie Claire magazine for two years before becoming a novelist. Her first novel, Drop Dead Gorgeous, was published by Corgi in 2003 and won a WH Smith Fresh Talent award. Her subsequent novels, Before We Were Thirty and Wives V Girlfriends have been published to glowing reviews. Katie now lives in Bath with her family.
